Senate Confirms Trump Nominee Anne-Leigh Moe As U.S. District Judge
The Senate confirmed Anne-Leigh Moe as a U.S. District Judge for Florida’s Middle District with a 53–46 vote.
President Trump celebrated the win on Truth Social, praising Moe for her focus on “LAW AND ORDER.”
Moe has served on Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal since 2022 and was previously a circuit judge in Hillsborough County.
Her confirmation adds to the Trump administration’s ongoing effort to fill federal court vacancies.
Meanwhile, CNN’s Harry Enten reports that Trump is in no rush to end the current government shutdown.
Unlike during the 2018–2019 shutdown, Trump’s approval rating hasn’t dropped—it’s actually up slightly.
Enten says fewer Americans now blame Trump for the shutdown, with responsibility shifting to Congress and Democrats blocking funding bills.
