George Soros’ Network Reportedly Funding ‘No Kings’ Protests Nationwide
A new report connects billionaire George Soros and his organizations to the “No Kings” protests scheduled for this weekend. The demonstrations, which have drawn support from top Democrats like Chuck Schumer, are being organized by progressive groups that have received significant funding from Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
Financial records show Soros’s network has provided millions to the activist group Indivisible, a key coordinator of the protests. In 2023 alone, the Open Society Action Fund awarded Indivisible a $3 million grant. Since 2017, the group has received over $7.6 million from Soros-linked networks.
Indivisible manages participant registration and digital outreach for the “No Kings” movement. The protests are promoted as a defense of democracy against authoritarianism, but critics argue they represent Soros’s extensive influence in shaping political activism.
Republicans have strongly criticized the funding connection. Senator Ted Cruz described the protests as orchestrated by elite donors rather than a genuine grassroots movement, calling the situation “hypocritical.”
A spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations stated that their grants support peaceful civic engagement and comply with U.S. law. They emphasized that grantees operate independently.
The Soros family’s philanthropic influence continues to expand, with his son Alex now chairing the foundation. The network has distributed over $32 billion globally to progressive causes.
As the protests begin, the debate highlights deep divisions over the role of private funding in political activism and what constitutes genuine democratic participation.
