Newt Gingrich Warns of ‘Very Dangerous’ Rhetoric as Political Tensions Escalate
In a Fox News interview, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich issued a stark warning about the state of American politics. He described rhetoric and actions from Democratic leaders as “dangerous,” suggesting such hostility toward President Trump could have severe national consequences.
Gingrich specifically criticized House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his partisan remarks. He accused Democratic leaders of employing “extreme tactics” instead of focusing on solving the country’s pressing problems and offering constructive solutions.
He expressed deep concern over a faction that believes it has the “right to be violent” and deny the American people their chosen leadership. Gingrich asserted that the only answer to this escalating behavior is to uniformly and firmly “enforce the law. Period.”
The former Speaker also defended Elon Musk, a senior advisor to President Trump, against what he characterized as unacceptable harassment. Gingrich stated that Musk is simply serving the American people and assisting the administration’s reform agenda.
Further criticizing the Democratic party’s tone, Gingrich described House Democrats during a recent presidential address as “zombie Democrats.” He noted their apparent inability to applaud for a wide range of Americans, from a cancer survivor to a prospective West Point cadet.
Citing polling from his conservative research group, Gingrich highlighted that 82% of Americans believe the political system is corrupt. He argued this widespread distrust is dangerous for the nation’s future and reflects frustration with a stagnant bureaucracy.
Gingrich concluded with a grave warning, stating that continuously fueling such political anger risks serious consequences. He urged for a recommitment to the rule of law and remembered that, despite disagreements, “we can’t destroy each other over politics.”
