Everyone’s saying the same thing after seeing leaked message from JD Vance in Pete Hegseth Signal group

A leaked report has revealed Vice President JD Vance sent a message to a confidential government group chat at 2:36 a.m. The message read, “This chat’s kind of dead. Anything going on?”

This chat, titled ‘Houthi PC small group,’ included high-level officials and was used to discuss U.S. military strikes in Yemen. It became controversial in March when a journalist was accidentally added.

The journalist was Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of *The Atlantic*, who was mistakenly added by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. Waltz later took responsibility but criticized Goldberg’s reputation.

An investigation into the use of the private messaging app for official business followed. A report released on December 2 included a screenshot of Vance’s late-night message.

The screenshot, shared widely on social media, sparked amusement. Many users concluded the other officials had likely started a new group chat without Vance.

Comments suggested he was excluded, with one person calling him the “most relatable politician.” Others speculated his message was a joke about the breached chat’s security.

Whether a genuine inquiry or a humorous remark, the incident highlights the informal and sometimes precarious nature of digital communication within the highest levels of government.
