Top FBI Official Speaks Out With Surprising Claim Regarding Epstein Case
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has expressed profound alarm, stating that recent discoveries have “shocked me down to my core.” He posted a cryptic promise on social media to uncover “the truth” regarding government weaponization and corruption.
Bongino’s comments come amid scrutiny over the FBI’s handling of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. He has been a vocal proponent of releasing Epstein’s alleged client list and reportedly threatened to resign over the matter’s management.
The situation intensified after the Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that no one else named in the Epstein files would be charged. This led to Bongino briefly failing to report for work, causing concern among officials.
According to reports, former President Trump was angered by Bongino’s public criticism. A DOJ insider suggested Bongino was prepared to resign if Attorney General Pam Bondi also stepped down.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Bondi had informed Trump his name appeared in the Epstein files. It was also alleged the administration considered withholding the files because they contained evidence of child sexual abuse.
Trump’s past association with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell is noted. Maxwell, now serving a prison sentence, was recently questioned by the Deputy Attorney General.
While Trump has not been charged, speculation exists that Maxwell’s cooperation could be an attempt to secure a pardon. Trump has not ruled out using his pardon power for her, stating it is something he “hasn’t thought about.”
