Hidden Room Uncovered by FBI Chief Patel Holds Burn Bags Packed With Trump–Russia Files

FBI Director Kash Patel has disclosed that a collection of documents concerning the Russia probe was discovered in a secret room at the bureau. The documents were stored in “burn bags,” which are secure containers used for destroying sensitive materials.

The recovered records reportedly include the classified annex to former Special Counsel John Durham’s final report. Durham’s investigation concluded that the FBI should not have opened its inquiry into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia, calling the probe “seriously flawed.”

According to a source, the documents were likely preserved by mistake and were only discovered because the FBI was methodically reviewing its holdings. The findings are set to be sent to Senator Chuck Grassley, the Judiciary Committee chairman.

Former President Trump responded to the news by stating he wants everything to be shown. He reiterated his claim that the original investigation was a “scam” set up by Democrats.

Patel, a former critic of the FBI, has pledged a “wave of transparency” since becoming director. He has previously claimed to have found a hidden room containing documents and hard drives that were concealed from oversight.

This discovery is part of a broader effort by Trump allies to find evidence supporting his assertion that the Russia investigation was a politically motivated “witch hunt.”

In a related development, former intelligence official Tulsi Gabbard recently claimed that intelligence reports suggested Russia actually desired a Hillary Clinton victory in 2016, contrary to popular belief at the time.
