Names Of Multiple Celebrities In Epstein Files Revealed After Trump Signs For Files To Be Released
According to newly unsealed US court documents concerning Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew is the most frequently named British figure. The hundreds of pages of filings are part of a civil case involving Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
The documents largely consist of depositions and evidence from Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit against Maxwell. They repeatedly cite the Duke of York in witness statements, flight logs, and testimonies gathered by investigators.
While the files do not present new criminal charges, they illustrate how often Prince Andrew appeared in the evidence. His name is mentioned more than any other British individual in connection with Epstein’s social events and travel.
Prince Andrew has consistently and emphatically denied the allegations against him, including Giuffre’s claim that she was forced to have sex with him. A 2019 BBC interview, where he addressed his association with Epstein, was widely seen as damaging and led to his withdrawal from public royal duties.
In 2022, Prince Andrew settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre out of court. He made a substantial payment to her and a victims’ charity without admitting liability. The newly released documents revisit these same events but do not introduce fundamentally new allegations.
The unsealed material shows witnesses placing the prince at Epstein’s properties and on his private jet. However, some accounts contain inconsistencies, and no witness claims to have personally seen him engage in criminal activity.
The release ensures Prince Andrew’s association with Epstein remains a major part of the public record. Other high-profile British names in the files, such as David Beckham and Naomi Campbell, are also mentioned, though this does not imply any wrongdoing on their part.
