What Americans really think about Trump
According to a recent CNN/SSRS poll, public approval of Donald Trump’s presidency has declined significantly. His current approval rating stands at 37%, a notable drop from 47% in February.
The survey also indicates widespread public dissatisfaction with the country’s direction. A substantial 68% of respondents believe things in the United States are going “pretty badly” or “very badly.”
The primary concerns for voters are the economy and the cost of living, cited by 47% of those surveyed. The state of U.S. democracy is the second most pressing issue, at 26%.
Public opinion is highly critical of the impact of Trump’s policies. A majority, 61%, believe his actions have worsened the nation’s economic conditions.
Furthermore, 56% of respondents feel his presidency has damaged America’s standing in the world. An identical 61% also believe he has overstepped in his use of presidential powers.
In response to these negative polls, Trump has dismissed them as “fake.” He took to his Truth Social platform to accuse the “Radical Left Media” of promoting inaccurate surveys.
In his post, he contrasted the polling data with his own perceived reality, stating, “as I look around my beautiful surroundings, I say to myself, ‘Oh, look, I’m sitting in the Oval Office!’”
