Democrats Leak Internal Poll

Democrats are facing difficulties as their attempt to assign responsibility for the three-week government shutdown to Republicans is proving ineffective. This strategy appears to be having negative consequences for them.

Recent polling indicates the “Schumer Shutdown” is damaging the Democrats’ standing. Their own internal data reveals a nearly even split among voters regarding who is at fault for the political impasse.

According to the leaked poll, 45% of voters blame Republicans, while 42% blame Democrats. More troubling for Democrats is that this narrow gap is continuing to close.

This data reinforces the perception that the public is not accepting the narrative presented by Democratic leadership. For most Americans, government shutdowns are seen more as political theater than genuine emergencies.

An analysis noted that “shutdowns are just noise,” observing that the daily lives of most citizens continue with little noticeable disruption.

Further undermining the Democratic strategy, CNN analyst Harry Enten observed that President Trump’s approval ratings have experienced a slight increase during the dispute. This was an unexpected outcome for the Democrats.

The effort to characterize Republicans as the villains has instead highlighted a broader voter dissatisfaction with both political parties. As their poll numbers soften, the Democrats’ shutdown strategy is increasingly seen as a counterproductive miscalculation.
