Partner of Suspect Vanishes, Raising Quest

The partner of a man charged in a prominent Utah shooting has mysteriously disappeared, raising questions about his role as a potential witness. Lance Twiggs, 22, has been absent for over a week from the condominium he shared with the accused.

His personal vehicle and other belongings were left behind at the residence. Neighbors have reported that the lights have remained on and uncollected mail is accumulating, adding to the concern surrounding his sudden absence.

Twiggs became a person of interest after the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who faces charges related to the shooting incident. While rumors suggest Twiggs might have possessed relevant information, officials state there is no direct evidence connecting him to the criminal act.

An FBI source has identified Twiggs as a “cooperating human source,” indicating he may be a crucial witness for the investigation. Authorities have suggested he could potentially become eligible for the federal witness protection program, depending on the findings of the ongoing probe.

Neighbors described both Twiggs and Robinson as very private and reclusive individuals. The significant law enforcement presence during recent searches of their condo was a surprising event for the local community.

During initial police questioning, Twiggs was reported to have been calm and cooperative. A thorough search of the property was subsequently conducted by authorities, including FBI agents and canines, though no official reason for the search was provided.

Prosecutors have since revealed text messages that imply Twiggs may have had some limited knowledge of Robinson’s activities. They have, however, clearly stated that he was not an active participant in the alleged crime and currently faces no charges.
