Vitamin D plays a vital role in helping the body absorb calcium, maintain strong bones, support immunity, and promote muscle function. Often called the “sunshine vitamin,” it is produced through sun exposure, yet many people develop deficiencies due to indoor lifestyles and limited time outdoors.

As a result, supplements are widely used, especially among older adults and individuals with low blood levels. While restoring deficiency is important, excessive intake can create serious health concerns.
