Donald Trump’s has surprising response

Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, was fatally stabbed while riding a Charlotte Blue Line train. She was sitting alone, wearing headphones, when she was attacked without any provocation.

The suspect, Decarlos Brown Jr., allegedly carried out the sudden assault before fleeing the scene. Authorities pronounced Zarutska dead at the location of the attack.

Brown was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He has a documented history of criminal activity and mental health concerns.

During his court appearance on August 29, Brown was denied bond. The judge also ordered him to undergo a competency evaluation.

Surveillance footage of the incident was released to the public on September 5. The video quickly spread across the internet, provoking global outrage and sorrow.

On September 7, President Donald Trump described the killing as “horrible” in a public statement. He later posted on Truth Social that he had seen the “horrific video” and called for the criminal to be “LOCKED UP.”

Brown is scheduled to appear in court again on September 19 as the case continues.
