Newly Declassified Records Suggest Adam Schiff Approved Leaks of Classified Information During Trump–Russia Probe

Newly released FBI interview summaries have sparked fresh controversy involving Senator Adam Schiff. A whistleblower claims Schiff, while serving on the House Intelligence Committee, authorized leaks of classified information during the Trump–Russia investigation to damage then-President Donald Trump politically.

The documents, obtained by *Just The News*, reveal statements from a Democratic intelligence officer who worked directly with the committee. The whistleblower alleges Schiff, then the committee’s ranking Democrat, instructed staff in a meeting to leak classified material harmful to Trump, aiming to build a case for his indictment.

The whistleblower also implicated Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), suggesting he may have been the primary leaker. These disclosures allegedly supported the “Russiagate” narrative that dominated Trump’s presidency. Swalwell has denied involvement, dismissing the claims as politically motivated.

According to the whistleblower, Schiff was promised the CIA Director role if Hillary Clinton won in 2016. After her loss, Schiff allegedly pursued leaks to undermine Trump. The source claims they reported the misconduct but saw no meaningful response from the DOJ before being abruptly fired.

Investigative journalist Paul Sperry suggests Schiff’s leaks may have reached *Washington Post* reporter Ellen Nakashima, known for her ties to intelligence officials like ex-CIA Director John Brennan. If true, this could link Schiff to high-profile media coverage during the Trump–Russia probe.

The DOJ has faced criticism for not acting on the whistleblower’s claims earlier. Critics argue ignoring such allegations erodes trust in government oversight, especially when classified intelligence is weaponized for political gain.

Schiff has yet to publicly address the newly released FBI records. The allegations, if proven, could reshape perceptions of one of the most polarizing investigations in recent U.S. history.
