Trump’s Golf Trips Cost Taxpayers Outrageous Amount as He Makes Fresh Boast

President Donald Trump’s frequent golf trips have come under scrutiny for their significant cost to U.S. taxpayers. Reports indicate these outings have already cost $71 million during his second term.

This spending is projected to reach $300 million by the end of his presidency. The figure includes travel and security expenses for his visits to various golf resorts.

His travel includes numerous trips to his properties, such as Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster. A single trip to his golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland, reportedly cost nearly $10 million in public funds.

This pattern follows his first term, where he allegedly spent $151 million on similar golf-related trips. While other presidents, like Barack Obama, also golfed, the scale and cost of Trump’s trips are notably higher.

Trump recently boasted about his golf skills, claiming to be a “scratch golfer” who has won many championships. However, this comment was poorly timed, coming hours after a National Guard member was shot and killed in Washington.

The criticism highlights the contrast between the president’s leisure activities and his duties, especially during a national tragedy. The incident has brought additional attention to the expenses and timing of his golf outings.
