Biden Fires Back After New Poll Reveals Americans

Joe Biden may have left the Oval Office, but his voice—and sharp wit—remain as forceful as ever.
A recent Marquette University Law School poll reignited a familiar political rivalry: Barack Obama versus Donald Trump. Surveying just over 1,000 adults, the results showed 57% of Americans view Obama favorably, compared with 42% for Trump, highlighting the continued divide over their legacies.
Speaking at a Nebraska Democratic Party gala, Biden didn’t hold back. Referencing Trump’s demolition of part of the White House’s East Wing for a private ballroom, he quipped, “I knew Trump was going to take a wrecking ball to the country, but I had no idea there’d be an actual wrecking ball.” He described it as a symbol of Trump’s presidency, arguing it undermined democratic institutions, the Constitution, and the rule of law.
Biden also criticized Trump’s “golden age” claims, saying, “You work for us, Mr. President. Not the other way around. You work for the people — not just billionaires and millionaires.”
Even while recently battling cancer, Biden continues speaking out on issues central to his presidency, reminding Americans of the importance of democracy, accountability, and civic engagement.
