On Friday, 32-year-old Maidy K was mauled by a polar bear after jumping into its enclosure during feeding time at Berlin Zoo.
The bear bit her arms, legs, and back before keepers managed to pull her to safety.

Six staff members distracted the animals long enough to save her.
She was rushed to hospital and underwent surgery.
Doctors said her injuries are serious but not life-threatening, though she will need long-term treatment.
