‘Full House’ star Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli split after 27 years – here’s what we know
After 27 years of marriage, actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have separated. A representative confirmed the couple is living apart and taking a break from their marriage, though no legal divorce proceedings have begun.
The separation news followed a public sighting of Loughlin having a friendly dinner with actor James Tupper in West Hollywood. Her spokesperson clarified the meeting was strictly platonic, as the two have previously worked together on film projects.
The couple, who share two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, were once considered a resilient Hollywood pair. They married in 1997 and had often spoken about the strength of their long-term bond.
However, their marriage faced immense public pressure following their involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. The couple pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 to fraudulently secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California.
The legal consequences were significant. Loughlin served a two-month prison sentence and paid a $150,000 fine. Giannulli received a longer sentence of five months in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Loughlin had previously shared the secret to their long marriage, emphasizing choosing peace over pride and making time for weekly date nights to reconnect.
Now, as they navigate this new chapter apart, the couple appears focused on handling this personal transition with privacy and discretion.
