Why Trump is now under pressure from the 25th Amendment after claims of a removal plan

Congresswoman Maxine Waters issued a severe critique of former President Donald Trump, cautioning that his actions present a significant danger to the nation. Her forceful remarks were delivered during a recent television appearance on MSNBC.

The California Democrat launched a series of sharp attacks focused on Trump’s approach to governing. She expressed an urgent need for his removal from office and specifically called for the implementation of the 25th Amendment to achieve this.

A central part of her criticism targeted Trump’s desire to influence the Federal Reserve. Waters warned that his aim to control interest rates and install obedient board members represents the behavior of a dictator seeking to command the entire economy.

She argued that such policies have the potential to severely damage the nation’s economic stability. Waters stressed that aggressive steps must be taken to stop him and to protect American democracy from what she termed a destructive path.

The congresswoman explicitly dismissed relying on the judicial system to address the situation. Instead, she insisted that the cabinet must act to determine his unfitness for office, stating plainly that “something is wrong.”

Waters also reiterated her long-standing objections to Trump’s foreign policy strategies. Following recent tensions with Iran, she accused him of pushing the country toward conflict rather than pursuing peaceful negotiations.

In contrast, Trump defended his military decisions, celebrating specific strikes as a “spectacular success” that effectively neutralized a key threat. This defense stands in direct opposition to the grave concerns raised by Congresswoman Waters.
