Ivanka Trump follows in dad Donald’s footsteps with surprising career move after previously making feelings clear about his presidency
Ivanka Trump appears to be shifting career directions despite previously ruling out a return to politics. The 43-year-old daughter of Donald Trump had stated she wouldn’t rejoin her father’s administration, citing concerns about exposing her children to the “darkness” of political life.
In a Fox & Friends interview earlier this year, Ivanka explained her decision, saying she loves policy but hates politics. She emphasized protecting her three kids from the harsh realities of Washington, especially after last year’s assassination attempt on her father.
While staying true to her word about avoiding politics, Ivanka is now following her father’s footsteps in another way—real estate development. Before his presidency, Donald Trump built his empire through luxury properties, and now his daughter is embarking on her own ambitious project.
Teaming up with husband Jared Kushner, Ivanka plans to invest $1.4 billion to transform an abandoned Soviet weapons base in Albania into a high-end resort. The 1,400-acre site on Sazan Island could become a luxury destination if approved.
This isn’t Kushner’s first real estate venture—his family owns multiple properties in New York—but it marks the couple’s debut in ultra-luxury development. Ivanka’s team claims they’re collaborating with top architects to revitalize the site, which still contains buried explosives.
Albanian officials have welcomed the proposal, with the country’s president calling the project essential for boosting luxury tourism. The move signals Ivanka’s pivot from political advisor to business mogul, mirroring her father’s career trajectory.
Though she’s stepping away from the White House, Ivanka’s latest venture proves she’s still embracing the Trump family’s legacy—just in a different arena.
