Trump defended the ballroom construction, stating the existing structure had to be taken down to create a world-class, 90,000-square-foot venue capable of hosting 650 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is now turning his attention to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. In a Truth Social post, he shared a video of the pool and criticized the current state of the landmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He took a direct shot at President Joe Biden, describing the pool\u2019s condition as \u201cBiden filth and incompetence\u201d and promised it would not be seen for much longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The posted video concluded with the slogan \u201cmake D.C. beautiful again,\u201d though the cost and timeline for this cleanup project have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The earlier ballroom project had faced significant backlash. The White House justified the massive expenditure by stating the current East Wing was too small, forcing them to use \u201cunsightly\u201d tents for large events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
