The property owner, Erwin Steele, believes the suspect ran through his family\u2019s backyard. He suspects the weapon was discarded somewhere along this path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This aligns with the earlier recovery of a high-powered, bolt-action rifle in a nearby wooded area. The firearm is believed to be connected to the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FBI Special Agent Robert Bohls confirmed additional forensic evidence was collected. This includes a palm print, a footprint, and a forearm impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
